Personality: Well, in Gundam Seed, Kira is often portrayed as a crybaby, but I honestly don't feel that way. Kira seems to be the kind of person who cares for others so much that he blames himself if anything causes his friends and the ones dear to him any pain. Unlike any of the characters who were trained for war, Kira has trouble detaching himself from those he has killed. Kira is such a kindred soul who at first is pretty niave to the cruelty that humanity can possess. Through the first war, Kira slowly starts to understand the world and what he must do, with the help of Lacus Clyne. In Gundam Seed Destiny, Kira is much more quiet and seems to carry the burden of the memory of the first war on his shoulders. He is much wiser and seems to almost have an intuition of what's really going on in the war.

Relationships: Athrun Zala is one of Kira's most significant relationships. Athrun is Kira's closest childhood friend, and the one who gave Kira the robotic Birdie that follows Kira everywhere. Kira is probably torn most by his relationship with Athrun, who is often fighting against Kira. Cagalli Yula Athha is Kira's twin sister, who Kira is always looking after in one way or another. Kira cares for Cagalli very much because she's one of the few people who haven't betrayed or caused Kira pain in some way. Fllay Allster was Kira's former girlfriend who caused Kira the most pain in the first war. Kira broke up with her and seemed to regard her at the end as someone he had to protect since he couldn't save her father. Lacus Clyne truly seems to hold Kira's heart in Destiny and has been Kira's healer since the first war. She is always supporting Kira in everything that he does, and gives him the pure kindness that Kira always gave everyone else.

SEED Mode: Throughout Gundam Seed, Kira's devotion to protect his friends initiated his SEED Factor, and then later it was initiated through angression and stress. He didn't have as strong a grasp over his SEEd Factor in the first war as Athrun, but in the second war, Kira surpasses all the SEEDs in his ability. In the second war, he calmly SEEDS when he must to dismember other suits without killing the pilot. It is hardly out of aggression or stress. Kira is much wiser when it comes to his SEED, to the point, where when he finds it necessary to SEED, he activates his SEED Factor without second thought.
