Lacus & Kira:
Lacus and Kira have a kindred, gentle relationship where words are not necessary all the time. They started
out as two strangers who were so kind to the other that friendship instantly followed. Their kindess soon
grew into a deep love as Lacus helped heal Kira's heart. There is not a definite point where they started caring
for each other deeply. It was very gradual and subtle, but in the second war, they seem more connected than
anyone else. Kira supports Lacus, and seems stunned by her constantly with how she conducts herself
and her ability to change the world. Lacus is also very patient with Kira and puts him in front of herself. She
feels guilty when Kira aboards the Freedom again to save her.
Lacus & Athrun:
Lacus and Athrun started the first war in and arranged engagement for political advantage in the Plants. However,
Lacus and Athrun were never really in love. They love each other, but it was very formal between them, and they
just didn't hold that kind of chemistry. As Lacus fell for Kira, Athrun started to fall for Kira's twin sister, Cagalli,
separating Lacus and Athrun from their engagement. Despite this, Lacus and Athrun remain friends with admiration
and respect for the other. Lacus often helps Athrun find his path whenever he is conflicted with his actions.
Lacus & Cagalli:
Lacus and Cagalli first met near the end of the first war when Lacus smuggled the Eternal with the help of
Commander Waltfeld to the Archangel and Kusanagi. Cagalli admired Lacus and her ability on the battlefield
to command a ship. They quickly became friends through their comradeship. They grew closer, and Lacus even
defended Cagalli quite often during the second war. Lacus supported her and even tried to cheer her up. Although
they seem more like acquaintances, they actually have a closer bond as a result of their relationships with Kira
and Athrun.
Lacus & Meer:
Lacus and Meer met only once, which ended in tragedy. Meer was one of Lacus' biggest fans and wanted
to be so much like Lacus that she wanted Lacus' life. At first, Lacus was pretty upset with the whole ordeal
of someone impersonating her and using her image to lead the Plants in a direction Lacus would never lead
them to. However, when a plea of help from Meer is sent to Lacus, Lacus becomes insistent on meeting
her. Even though it results in another attempt on Lacus' life, Lacus talks to Meer and convinces her to live to
make her own song to sing to the world. Meer is affected by Lacus' words, but as she is about to leave with them,
Meer jumps infront of Lacus to take an incoming bullet meant for Lacus. Lacus feels very guilty for Meer's
death afterwards because an innocent fan of hers who had her own dreams died just because she wanted
her dreams to come true.
Lacus & Andrew Waltfeld:
Commander Waltfeld and Lacus joined forces near the end of the first war, and Mr. Waltfeld immediately took on the
responsibility of protecting the Pink Songstress. It is not very clear as to whether or not Commander Waltfeld and Lacus
knew each other beforehand or if he was connected to some of the various members of the Clyne Faction. However, they
do seem to be a little more acquainted with each other than complete strangers. Despite this obscure point, Mr.
Waltfeld is very supportive of Lacus' stance and protects her with his life, even throughout the second war. He even vows
to protect her in Kira's place when Lacus insists to check out what was really going on in the Plants under Chairman Durandal.
They end up making quite the duo when commanding the Eternal!
Lacus & Reverend Malchio:
Reverend Malchio is a family friend of the Clyne family and appears to know Lacus very well. Very little is known about
Reverend Malchio other than he seems to know more than he appears to. He also provides a place for Lacus to stay as well as
Kira after the first war.
Lacus & orphanage children:
The children of the orphange seem very much in love with Lacus and see her as the mother that each of them lost. Lacus
loves them just as much back. She sings to them often to calm them down, whether they are being very rowdy or are terrified
by the things around her. The children seem very attached to Lacus' natural motherly nature.
