Personality: Shinn is the youngest of the SEEDS, and is extremely cocky to boot. He has a strong sense of what he believes in and stands for. He seems revengeful of Orb, amongst other things, at first, but really, I believe Shinn wants to do something to keep his past from lingering on his mind too much. What better way to do that than to try and prevent the same thing from happening to others. That's seems to be the core of Shinn's actions. He truly cares for others and doesn't want them to suffer as he has. However, Shinn is somewhat biased and misguided, something Athrun eventually knocks into his head at the end of Gundam Seed Destiny. Shinn is extremely passionate and easy to anger, especially if you get on his bad side or if he doesn't believe you understand what he is going through. He also is depressed, which is completely understandable since he has lived two years without his family, but he hides it with his anger. He fights to hide those emotions, but deep at heart, Shinn, I believe, hates fighting as much as Kira and Athrun. He wants things to be as they were and not as they are, but at the end of Destiny, he realizes thanks to Athrun and Kira that you must always fight to protect the peace you care about, to protect yourself and your loved ones from those who like to undo peace.

Relationships: Shinn was extremely close to his family, especially his little sister. Once he becomes part of the Minerva, he doesn't really seem too close to anyone. He knows the crew of course, but nothing past kinship. Athrun becomes somewhat of a big brother to Shinn, who immediately becomes competitive with Athrun. Athrun acts much like an older brother, defending and shaping Shinn. Shinn's first real connection was with Stella, who Shinn felt had gone through much of the same stuff he had. Later, he found out that her past was far more grim than his, and wants to honor his promise to protect her. Stella ends up falling in love with Shinn as I am sure Shinn had similar feelings, though their time together was too scarce to really tell. After Shinn feels betrayed by Athrun's actions to leave ZAFT once again, Lunamaria becomes Shinn's comfort, an unexpected development. Shinn tends to fall for her because she supports him and tries to heal him through that support. At the end of Destiny, they share a deep bond because they have gone through so much together.

SEED Mode: Shinn seems to be the most out of control with his SEED Factor, probably because his temper is usually out of control and aggressive when he fights. He doesn't really SEED unless he his pushed to his limit, which includes the limit of his Gundam. This aggression does make him temporarily stronger than the other SEEDS, but, he also seems the least in control of it, to the point where, he doesn't think things through, he just reacts.
